How it all began...

Ms Wynne Chia recalled that her mother was her inspiration. Her mother was an amah (housekeeper) providing housekeeping services to Ang Moh (expatriate) families in the Serangoon Gardens and Seletar Airbase areas from the 1960s. As her health deteriorated with age, she was unable to cope with the demanding chores.

Ms Chia then decided to find replacements to service the existing families and it struck her that she could carve a niche in the housekeeping industry if these housekeepers were professionally trained and organized. Since then, she has not looked back.

The Story now ...

Since 1996, the Company she started has provided housekeeping and maintenance services to private homes. Service includes the following:

• Housekeeping including sanitizing and degreasing of kitchens and ironing of clothes
• Spring-cleaning, handover cleaning and post-renovation cleaning
• Personal services such as babysitting, pet minding and laundry collection
• Handyman services including plumbing and hanging of pictures

The small amily-owned company assumed the name of Mrs Sparkles in 1999. It has grown steadily to its current strength of seventy staff including some sixty cleaning ladies and five supervisors-cum-drivers. The growth has been carefully managed to ensure the original Mrs Sparkles' values of dedication, honesty and hard-work are always upheld.

The Company has two subsidiaries: Line-up Services and Big Clean Pte Ltd.
